Anyone who has it and feels like a game at some point or another
If you don't have it, it's fairly easy to *find*, and it'll work on a bloody notebook, so no one has any excuse not to have it, even you Uni folks
It's a great little game and I'm sure alot of us have fond memories of the game
(first game I ever played multiplayer, and I was taught by my neighbor about how to play it properly)
And it looks like at least a few of us are up for a game or two at some point.
Take that ya one-eyed, bomb-lobbin', cactus eatin', pot bellied, thug fat jigglin-chicken whoopin' big, back-stabbin lob-armed creepy spastic bloody, blind-eyed pashy little twitchy pickle-headed rocke- hoppin, potato-poppin' phony two-faced stealthy mutant bastard!
I'm up for it tommorow would be best and it is awesome and easy to get going.
1.Acquire and patch
2.Install gameranger
3.Have fun
AoE2 as well? I played that a lot more and know it better :P.

AOE2 as well is pretty fun but the first one is a really good game.
The whole point is its none of us know AOE1 very well anymore. this was suppsoed to be for the competition thing and everybody decided having a competition thats skill based was unfair for some reason.Originally Posted by Phantom

Yes tis and awesome game, i actually think i have the original disks somewhere, but more likely they dnt work anymore so i will "acquire" it :P
I'd enjoy playing this again, but I'd have to get it somehow as my disks are are home. I think I had the conquers expansion as well
Anyone play Age of Mythology and titans they were pretty good expansions. It just got silly when they introduced guns

The AoE1 expansion is Rise of Rome.
Seriously just downlaod it - its like 250MB
It's weird that AOE2 is a legal free download however the original isn't

was about to say lets have a game but then I cannot find my install
acquiring now, the expansion you want is rise of rome with the relevant update.
Anyone want to set a time?

Been so long that I have played it that I forgot,
Rise of rome is a standalone
AOE is the original just patch (latest 1.0c) that because thats what were playing, sorry for the confusion.
