Is there a way that it could be made so that people can lock/close their own thread if they feel that there is to much arguing going on or people are just spamming the thread with one or two word answers that are completely irrelavant.

Well if there's a thread with a lot of spam Hutch or I usually close it, or it is possible to make threads automatically close after a certain time.

EDIT:- Have just checked and no, you can't set them to close after a period of time
