My GTX280 was £210 1.5 years ago. I also do lots of rendering and encoding so an i7 makes sense.

Like Phantom, my GTX280 was £210 just under a year ago, wheras 4870X2's were going for around £250-260.

Phenom 2 955 standard clock
6bg ddr3 ram not running in dual channel.
