There was a Minecraft update iirc.

hm wierd. bcs i logged in the second after her without updating
and now she deleted minecraft and redownloaded it and still cant join the server
The new update must mean that the server needs to be updated, too. I couldn't get on either.

It would have been because they updated minecraft quite a few times a couple of weeks ago and Bukkit took a while to update the servers,
Basically for the future, when asked if you want to update MC say no until bukkit have released an update
