bf2 - depends what mood/map but normally sniper/support/medic
bf2142 - i lag like hell on it so don't play it much but i think it would be recon

I usually go Sniper/Specops or Medic for BF2
On 2142 its Recon customised for specopsing or Assault for medicationing.
