A lot of us here have played and enjoyed the original Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, so you'll be pleased to hear Dawn of War 2 has been announced.
From what I've heard it sounds more like World In Conflict, i.e units taking cover, drop zones rather than buildings, etc, although some of this is only speculation. Other features include having a smaller, more advanced army that you upgrade and improve throughout the campaign, similar to the Honour Guard units in Dark Crusade. So far the only two races that have been confirmed are Orks and Space Marines, which will once again be the Blood Ravens chapter in the campaign, so the story should carry on from Dawn of War 1. Dawn of War 2 should be released in early 2008, with players being able to participate in a Beta of the game if they buy Dawn of War: Soulstorm. All in all what I like most about the news so far is that all the new features are what I wanted the original game to have.
