The second image is wake island, they have used that in BF2, BF2142 and now this, don't DICE think it's getting a bit old?



Also, they will only mess things up in this period, they've managed to screw over a few things for PR with the imminent 1.5 patch.

It was the most popular map in BF 1942, so they ported it into BF2. It's been in every BF game since because it's so popular.
