Anyway lets get back on topic. I'm curious about buying this, just a bit curious on the coop side. How hard is it to communicate with your partner if you dont both have voice chat?

There are systems in place for that. You can ping anywhere on the map where you want your partner to place portals, and you can hold tab to see what your partner sees. Obviously it's going to be a lot harder though because you can't figure out the puzzles together unless you use text chat. There is built in voip though.
