im sure when u got your 280s they were more expensive than a 4870x2 :P

Also the difference between an i7 920 and Core 2 E8500 in cpu tests is lol....

My GTX280 was £210 1.5 years ago. I also do lots of rendering and encoding so an i7 makes sense.

Like Phantom, my GTX280 was £210 just under a year ago, wheras 4870X2's were going for around £250-260.
